Who Am I?

I’m John E. Hopkins.

I’m a drummer who grew up on film music, who got really into electronic music when I was going to school for jazz music, then played keyboards in a band making hip hop music, then made film music.

It’s an oversimplication of events but it all turned out to be the perfect cocktail for working uniquely in all these genres.

I believe film is the ultimate medium for storytelling and filmmakers and musicians are storytelling brothers and sisters--we are here to serve one another, and the audience.

Hit me up—let’s tell a story together.
